Norm thanks the knowledgeable and well-known reel collectors who have reviewed the book:

Terry calls it a "must have for all reel collectors" on Joe's Old Lures message board.

Mike calls it a "wonderful read" on the ORCA Orcaonline message board

Here's the "ABOUT THIS BOOK" from the back cover:

"This is the story of Otto Zwarg, a remarkable man who crafted world-renowned custom made fishing reels, which are now very rare and are eagerly sought by collectors.

"He began life in Berlin, Germany, served in the German army during World War I, became a dentist and immigrated to America in 1922.  He found work with Edward vom Hofe, a renowned maker of high quality fishing reels in New York City, reels which are also highly sought by collectors.

"Vom Hofe went out of business at the beginning of World War II, and gave Zwarg the right to produce their reels under his own name.  He began making reels in 1946 in Brooklyn, NY and moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1947."

From inside Norm's book, the photo below is from Zwarg's shop in St. Petersburg, Florida:
